Startups are entrepreneurial ventures seeking to develop and deploy innovative, technology driven solutions with a scalable business model. CUSAT RUSA STARTUP FUND scheme is designed as a non-refundable grant sponsored by CUSATECH FOUNDATION and is implemented through its TBI hub. The objective of this grant is to invite startups enthusiasts across India, who may or may not have a connection with CUSAT currently to set up or start an additional unit and run university-connected start-up companies leveraging on the expertise of CUSAT.
Eligibility
With financial support from RUSA, CUSAT has set up another TBI named RUSA Innovation Startup Ecosystem (RISE) mainly for electron- ics and biotech startups. Rise also proudly possesses a bio incubator with necessary equipment and facilities and a FABLAB sponsored by Kerala Startup Mission. Another 10000 sq ft furnished space is being added to boost the physical infrastructural facilities of the TBI.

In line with the government policy of encouraging university drives startup ecosystem,CUSAT set up its frist Technology Business Incubator named Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer & Indus- trial Collaboration (CITTIC) in 2011 to promote the entrepreneurial culture among our stakeholders.
